FASHIONGO Dropshipping Project

Overview

Background

FashionGo launched its Dropshipping Service to bridge the gap between FashionGo vendors and buyers who own Shopify or TikTok shops. This service allows buyers to sell FashionGo vendors' products without holding inventory, streamlining the e-commerce process. The goal was to create an intuitive, seamless platform that would simplify product integration and order management for online sellers.

My Role

As the sole UI Designer, I worked closely with the Product Manager, UX Designer, and Front-end Developers to design a visually engaging and easy-to-use interface. My responsibilities included:

  • Creating a clear, intuitive user flow for buyers to connect their Shopify/TikTok shops with FashionGo vendors.

  • Designing a product import system that enables easy listing of FashionGo vendor products in external stores.

  • Ensuring a seamless order management experience within the FashionGo platform.

UX Approach

Research and Discovery

To ensure a smooth user experience, we conducted extensive research, including usability testing, competitor analysis, and user interviews. Key findings included:

  • Buyers were unfamiliar with how dropshipping works and struggled to connect their Shopify/TikTok stores with FashionGo.

  • Managing imported products was confusing, as users had difficulty tracking inventory updates and price changes.

  • Order fulfillment visibility was lacking, making it hard for users to monitor order status and vendor processing times.

  • Competitor research revealed that step-by-step onboarding, automated inventory syncing, and a centralized dashboard improved user adoption in similar services.

Definition and Ideation

Based on research insights, we defined core UX goals:

  • Simplify onboarding by providing clear, guided steps for connecting Shopify/TikTok shops.

  • Enhance product management with intuitive filtering, real-time inventory updates, and bulk editing capabilities.

  • Improve order tracking visibility with a well-structured dashboard displaying fulfillment statuses.

  • Reduce cognitive load by streamlining complex processes into bite-sized, actionable steps.

To explore potential solutions, we conducted brainstorming sessions, wireframing, and usability testing with interactive prototypes to validate design decisions.

Implementation

Designed a guided onboarding experience with interactive tooltips and visual cues to help buyers easily connect their stores.

  • Developed an intuitive product import interface, allowing users to browse, select, and list FashionGo vendor products efficiently.

  • Created a dashboard with clear order tracking, showing fulfillment statuses, shipping updates, and vendor communications in one place.

  • Implemented responsive UI components, ensuring seamless functionality across both desktop and mobile devices.

Challenges and Solutions

Challenges

The main challenge was designing an interface that simplified the complex process of dropshipping while maintaining clarity for both vendors and buyers. The UI needed to support real-time inventory updates, order tracking, and seamless integrations with external platforms.

Issue

Early testing revealed that users:

  • Struggled with the onboarding process, finding it unclear how to connect their Shopify/TikTok shops.

  • Needed better visibility into product availability, pricing, and order status.

  • Found managing imported products confusing, requiring a more intuitive dashboard.

Solution

To address these issues, I designed a user-friendly, visually clear interface that:

  • Simplified onboarding with step-by-step guidance and interactive tooltips.

  • Enhanced product visibility by implementing filters and real-time inventory updates.

  • Streamlined order management by creating an intuitive dashboard with clear tracking and fulfillment status.

  • Optimized mobile responsiveness to ensure a smooth experience across devices.
